Security settings

The Security Settings page allows administrators to configure platform-level security policies that help protect user accounts and organisational data.

Inactivity Logout

Description

The Inactivity Logout setting automatically logs users out after a period of inactivity. This helps prevent unauthorised access to sensitive information in case a user leaves their session unattended.

Setting:

  • Toggle Switch:

    • Enabled (switch on): Users will be logged out automatically after a predefined idle period.

    • Disabled (switch off): Users remain logged in until they manually log out or close their session.

How to Enable

  1. Navigate to Security Settings.

  2. Toggle Inactivity logout enabled to the on position.

  3. Changes are applied immediately or may require confirmation depending on system configuration.

Best Practices

  • Enable inactivity logout in shared or public device environments.

  • Use alongside other security measures like strong password policies or multi-factor authentication.

  • Review this setting during audits or when onboarding new administrators.
