Tasks
The Tasks tab within an assignment helps you track, complete, and manage related tasks. This section ensures accountability and visibility into time-linked work items.
Key Elements
✅ Task Status
Done: Indicates the task is completed.
Other statuses may include To Do, In Progress, or Blocked (depending on configuration).
📌 Task Details
Title: The task name (e.g., Test).
ID: Unique task identifier (e.g.,
#311).Created timestamp: Shows when the task was created.
Timesheet summary: Displays if any logged time entries are associated with the task (e.g., 3 Timesheet records found).
👤 Assignee
Profile icon shows who is assigned to the task.
A Closed label appears once the task is completed and locked from editing.
Actions
Add a new task: Use the button in the upper right to create a new task.
Edit or reassign (if allowed): Click the task name or status to modify or reassign ownership.
Track time: Time entries linked to the task feed into billable/non-billable reporting and financial summaries.
Best Practices
Always assign tasks to a responsible user for clear accountability.
Update the task status as work progresses.
Use the task description and comments (not shown here) for clarity and collaboration.
Ensure timesheet records are added for all work done to enable accurate billing.
