Tasks

The Tasks tab within an assignment helps you track, complete, and manage related tasks. This section ensures accountability and visibility into time-linked work items.


Key Elements

✅ Task Status

  • Done: Indicates the task is completed.

  • Other statuses may include To Do, In Progress, or Blocked (depending on configuration).

📌 Task Details

  • Title: The task name (e.g., Test).

  • ID: Unique task identifier (e.g., #311).

  • Created timestamp: Shows when the task was created.

  • Timesheet summary: Displays if any logged time entries are associated with the task (e.g., 3 Timesheet records found).

👤 Assignee

  • Profile icon shows who is assigned to the task.

  • A Closed label appears once the task is completed and locked from editing.


Actions

  • Add a new task: Use the button in the upper right to create a new task.

  • Edit or reassign (if allowed): Click the task name or status to modify or reassign ownership.

  • Track time: Time entries linked to the task feed into billable/non-billable reporting and financial summaries.


Best Practices

  • Always assign tasks to a responsible user for clear accountability.

  • Update the task status as work progresses.

  • Use the task description and comments (not shown here) for clarity and collaboration.

  • Ensure timesheet records are added for all work done to enable accurate billing.
